Sculptures
The word ZULU means "heaven" or "sky". The Zulu people, amaZulu, are "the people of heaven". Proud and mighty, the Zulu nation has both inspired and terrified Imperial nations and an entire continent. Our beautiful Africa. The Zulu culture is rich in traditional and natural beliefs and ways, customs and mannerisms. Deeply humble, hugely respectful and immensly proud.
A first in South Africa
Stephen Pellerade has personally sponsored the finest local artists to produce a unique and limited collection of bronze and marble composite sculptures portraying the magnificence of the Royal African heritage. Available as maquettes (smaller sizes 400mm high) and larger-than-life sizes (2000-2500m), this is the first of its kind in Africa.
Inspired by the magnificent King Shaka Zulu, the collection also consists of his mother, the gracious and humble Princess Nandi: as well as three powerfully individual warriors.

She involved fellow artists Richard Makhuva, Hloai Mahlophe and Bongani Nyoni in the Royal African Collection.
